3. Pixels & Tracking

What are Pixels?

Pixels are small pieces of code you place on your website/app to help Growth Channel track actions, build audiences, and measure conversions.

Pixel Types

  • Retargeting Pixel: Site-wide; builds remarketing pools.
  • Conversion Pixel: Tracks specific actions (form fills, purchases, calls).
  • MAID Pixel: Matches Mobile Advertising IDs.
  • ABM Pixel: Supports Account-Based Marketing.

How to Create a Pixel

  • Navigate to Pixels in the left menu.
  • Click Create New Pixel.
  • Name it clearly (Advertiser – Type).
  • Select Pixel type (for conversions, choose event type).
  • Submit and copy the code to give to your developer.

Placement

  • Retargeting → All pages.
  • Conversion → Thank-you/confirmation pages or tied to events.

Verification

  • Return after 24h.
  • Check for data (fires, last activity in the Growth Channel platform).
  • If no fires, confirm placement with developer.

  • Edit details anytime.
  • Delete only if not needed (removes data permanently).

Why This Matters

Pixels fuel retargeting, conversion tracking, and optimization. Without them, campaigns cannot attribute results.
